The GATHERING is for folks from all over, from beginner to pros, people who love nature and are interested in creating with
natural materials like twigs, willow, gourds, pine needles, stone, leather, and lots more. it's a casual and creative time,
kind of a summer camp for adults.
Mineral Point is an artists community of historic 1840s stone buildings encircled by scenic wooded hills and small dairy farms.
Shake Rag Alley, a non-profit arts education organization, is a cluster of quaint log and stone buildings around an ancient
spring surrounded by trees and lush vegetation.
Shake Rag Alley is a short walking distance to working artists studios, galleries, bookstore, shopping, a small cheese
factory, railroad museum, and downtown restaurants, including a microbrewery and a coffeehouse.
The Shake Rag Alley complex includes 9 historic buildings including a coffee and gift shop, an 1840's Coach House which
offers 3 guest rooms with private baths, an 1832 log cabin (the oldest structure in Mineral Point), and a blacksmith shop.
